As a kid, Lucia wanted to be a film director. Later, when writing turned out to be her greatest strength, she focused on reviewing movies and writing about the arts for various media outlets. Seven years ago, after five years of writing full-time for a printed newspaper, she became a mother and turned to freelance writing to have more freedom and work from home.

Lucia also translates and proofreads texts in a couple of languages. Thanks to majoring in politology during her studies, she is passionate about international relations and exploring how the world works. She spends her free time traveling, hiking, and playing sports.

But there's one more thing Lucia loves to do: play games, particularly those involving cards. Paradoxically, as a kid, she couldn't remember the rules of any game and had to learn them over and over again. Nevertheless, thanks to all the practicing, she eventually got so good she could easily beat most adults around her.

In recent years, Lucia has explored the world of card games in its full depth. She is fascinated with the history of gaming and loves to research local versions of popular games during her travels. She also regularly tests her skills by competing with other enthusiasts at card game conventions such as Essen Spiel in Europe and PAX Unplugged in the US. Writing for Group Games 101 allows her to share her knowledge with the world and discover new games to try with her friends and family.
