Green Glass Door Rules

The rules to this game are very straightforward, but knowing what to say is where the challenge lies while also trying to figure out the hidden link.

Starting the Game.

Before you can start playing the game, you’ll need to think of several answers for other players to figure out.

As a rule of thumb, start out fairly simple such as all items that go through the door must be 3 letters long.

Once you have a few ideas lined up, get everyone playing into a circle and begin the game.

How to Play the Green Glass Door Game

The game always gets played with the phrase ‘I can bring a ‘phrase’ through the door, but I cannot bring a ‘phrase’’.

The 2 phrases get replaced with words that firstly abide by the rule that you have chosen and then go against the chosen rule.

For example, if you choose the 3 letter rule for the starting round, you would say, ‘I can bring a cat through the door, but cannot bring a sheep.’

The next player in the circle will then have to repeat the phrase, guessing the rule by replacing the phrases with their own examples of the rule.

If a player attempts to take something through the glass door that isn’t 3 letters long, they are out of the game.

Tell the offending player, ‘You cannot take that through the glass door, you are out.’

If playing as a drinking game, get that player to down their drink too.

Once everyone has figured out the first rule to follow, the phrase switches to another more difficult rule to follow.

Keep going until there is only 1 person left who wins the game and becomes the next person with the various rules.

Scoring In Green Glass Door

Green Glass Door doesn’t have a scoring system involved, but you can implement one yourself by simply giving anyone who is the last person standing a point.

Whoever scores the most points across multiple rounds wins the game overall.
