What is Famous Movie Lines?
Famous Movie Lines is a trivia game where players have to guess what movie the clue on the card is from. Cards range from easy to nearly impossible and have a point value on each card. The first player to score 20 points wins the game!

- 400 Cards
- 1 Four-sided die
- Rulebook

Game Setup
- Open the box and take out all of the cards. Separate the cards by their deck number (listed on the bottom front of the card) and shuffle each deck.
- Place the 4 decks and the 4-sided die in the middle of the play area for all to reach.
You are now ready to play Famous Movie Lines!
How to Play Famous Movie Lines
Your goal is to be the first player to reach 20 points by guessing cards correctly. When you correctly guess a card, you place it next to you and tally your points. Each card has a different point value based on its difficulty.
- Choose a player to go first and roll the die. This player is considered the “Director” and draws the first card for the other players. The Director draws a card from the pile that matches his roll result.
- The Director either reads the card aloud or shows everyone the card (while covering the answer on the bottom). The person who guesses the card correctly first wins the card and adds it to their collection.
- Then, another player becomes the Director and performs the same action (rolling/drawing). If no one knows the movie and cannot guess the card, the Director keeps it for themselves!
- If there is a tie between players guessing for the same card, the Director gets to decide which player gets the card.
- The first player to tally up 20 points wins the game!

Why are the cards split into 4 decks?
Each deck provides a different guessing experience:
Deck 1: Guess what movie the famous line is from.
Deck 2: Finish the famous movie line.
Deck 3: Guess the movie by reading an alternate name for it.
Deck 4: Guess the movie based on the emojis provided.
Should I read the cards aloud or show the cards to the other players?
That’s up to you! It might be fun to get into character while reading the famous movie lines to the other players, but if you have to read one of the emoji cards, it’s better to show it to everyone instead.
How do I know if a card is difficult or not?
On the face of the card, there will be a colored banner and a point value listed.
Red/Impossible: 4 points
Orange/Hard: 3 points
Yellow/Moderate: 2 points
Green/Easy: 1 point
